What does Electrolysis feel like?
A client's tolerance level and the area where the work is being done usually determine the level of discomfort. The sensation is usually referred to as mildly warm to a little hot. It is well within tolerable range for most people. With today's technology your comfort is maximized.
Can any area be treated with Electrolysis?
Any surface area of the face and body can be treated. Inside the nasal passage and the ear canal should never be treated with electrolysis. Moles can be treated with a physician's approval.
How many treatments will be needed?
The number of treatments can vary depending on certain factors such as the type and amount of hair, what has previously been done to temporarily remove the hair, skin type, age, and medical history. A hormonal imbalance, disease or disorder, or use of some medications, may have influenced the amount of hair growth. A review by the Electrologist in private consultation with the client can determine an approximate length of time of treatment.
What does the skin look like after treatment?
The surface reacts with a little swelling and/or redness, most of which goes away fairly quickly depending on skin type and hair type being treated. Keeping the skin clean after treatment and using an anti-inflammatory, such as ice, helps the healing process. Post treatment guidelines from the Electrologist can be very helpful in keeping the skin looking great.
How much does Electrolysis cost?
Electrolysis is considered a very cost-effective method of hair removal. The overall cost is tied to each individual's recommended treatment schedule. Your Electrologist will discuss with you the optimum program to achieve the results you desire.
